This is all copyright J.K. Rowling. If you understand what this means, then you're either on my side or against me and I'm confirming you're suspicions. I just have to be complicated. If you don't, ignore it.
This is an excert from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, page 189.
"We're supposed to patrol the corridors every so often," he told Harry and Neville, "and we can give out punishments if people are misbehaving. I can't wait to get Crabbe and Goyle for something..."
"You're not supposed to abuse your position, Ron!" said Hermione sharply.
"Yeah, right, because Malfoy won;t abuse it at all," said Ron sarcastically.
"So you're going to descend to his level?"
"No, I'm just going to make sure I get his mates before he gets mine."
"For heaven's sake, Ron -"
"I'll make Goyle do lines, it'll kill him, he hates writing," said Ron happily.
Or maybe another example, from a different person...same text, page 626.
"The Inquisitorial Squad, Granger," said Malfoy, pointing toward a tiny silver I upon his robes just beneath his prefect's badge. "A select group of students who are supportive of the Monistry of Magic, handpick by Professor Umbridge. Anyway, members of the Inquisitorial Squad do have the power to dock points....So, Granger, I'll have fiver from you being rude about our new headmistress....Macmillian, five for contridicting me.....Five because I don;t like you, Potter...Weasley, your shirt's untucked, so I'll have another five for that....Oh yeah, I forgot, you're a Mudblood, Granger, so ten for that...."
Ron pulled out his wand, but Hermione pushed it away, whispering, "Don't!"
"Wise move, Granger," breathed Malfoy. "New Head, new times...Be good now, Potty...Weasel King..."
